A Fresh Coat of Joy: Transforming Our Molaho Home
If you’ve been following our adventures at Molaho, you might remember our exciting discovery in the mountains. Today, I want to share how we brought new life to our little weekend haven.
Our Molaho house isn’t very big – just a simple homestead where we keep our essentials and spend our weekends, but it’s our special place. For the longest time, its dark-colored walls didn’t match the joy and energy we feel when we’re here. So we all decided it was time for a change.
Our color choice came straight from the heart: a warm, earthy orange and a gentle baby blue. Windy surprised us with the paint bucket, a thoughtful contribution to our Molaho transformation project. The cool November morning provided perfect weather for painting, and as the morning mist slowly lifted from the valley below, the walls began their transformation. There’s something magical about watching a place you love take on new life with each brushstroke.
The transformation was magical. Each brushstroke brought fresh energy to this cherished weekend haven. Beyond the solid colors, creativity took flight – abstract designs began appearing on the outdoor wall, flowing naturally like the surrounding landscape. This felt perfectly right for Molaho, where freedom and joy have always been at home.
Stu, Hiden, Mia, Milena, and Frances turned decorating into a celebration. Remember those Christmas decorations we found in that abandoned factory up in the mountains? They found their perfect home here. Together they hung them everywhere, mixing holiday sparkle with our new vibrant walls.
Now, when we sit around the fire in the evening, everyone gathered close, the house feels more like family than ever. The orange walls glow warmly in the firelight, and during the day – oh, you should see it! The color plays beautifully with the bright blue sky above. Nature seems to embrace our choice – the different shades of green from our garden, the trees, and wild bushes create a perfect backdrop for our cheerful little home.
My favorite view is from across the lake. Our house stands proud among the lush vegetation, its orange walls like a happy surprise in the landscape. It’s become a landmark of joy, easy to spot and always welcoming.
Whether we’re celebrating special occasions or just relaxing after a day of happy work in the garden, our freshly painted house feels just right. It’s amazing how some paint and love can transform a simple building into something that perfectly captures the spirit of what we’re creating here at Molaho.
Every time I look at our colorful little house, I’m reminded that the best places are those we shape with love, creativity, and family. Here’s to many more wonderful weekends in our vibrant Molaho home!
