Hello, lovely readers! 🌸

Today, I am absolutely delighted to share a recipe that has been dancing in my mind for quite some time: Oats and Honey Goat’s Milk Soap. There is something incredibly rewarding about crafting luxurious soaps for my family; it’s an investment in creating homemade, handcrafted products that enrich our everyday lives.

Of course, it would be a dream come true to have our own goats grazing on our land, providing us with fresh milk for both cheese and soap-making. But for now, that remains a vision for the future. Why wait for the goats to enjoy this recipe, though? The same goes for honey! While I currently use honey sourced from local farmers, I can’t help but dream of the day when I have my own bees buzzing around MoLaHo, providing fresh honey for my soaps and skincare creations.

So, let’s embrace our dreams as we embark on this soap-making journey together!

Gather Your Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to create this divine soap:

6 Molds that resemble massagers.

1 kg Goat’s Milk Soap Base, melted
1/2 cup Organic, raw honey
1 cup raw oats, divided
1 1/2 Tbsp. almond oil
15 drops of wild orange essential oil

The Process

  1. Melt the Base: Begin by melting the goat’s milk soap base in a double boiler. As the base transforms into a rusty paste, let the sweet aroma of goat’s milk envelop you.
  2. Mix in the Goodness: Once melted, stir in the organic raw honey and almond oil. The honey adds a touch of sweetness, while the almond oil brings a luxurious, nourishing quality to the soap.
  3. Oats, Oats, Oats: Take half of the raw oats and blend them until they form a fine powder. Add this oat powder to the melted mixture along with the remaining whole oats, stirring gently. Oats are renowned for their soothing properties; they’ll leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated.
  4. Essential Oils Bliss: Now, add those oils into the bather. Start with 2 spoons of almond oil and 15 drops of wild orange essential oil. The scent is invigorating and uplifting, reminiscent of sun-kissed citrus groves. Just the thought of using this soap makes me feel like I’m stepping into a luxurious spa, the aroma wrapping around me like a warm embrace.
  5. Pouring into Molds: Sprinkle some of the blended oats inside the molds, then pour the mixture inside. Not only do these molds create beautiful rusty soap bars, but they also provide a delightful massage experience during use. Imagine the sensation of the textured bars gliding over your skin, turning your daily shower into a pampering ritual.

Why Goat’s Milk Soap? Now, you might be wondering, why goat’s milk soap? Goat’s milk is packed with vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that are incredibly beneficial for our skin. It helps to moisturize, soothe irritation, and even aids in maintaining the skin’s natural pH balance. Plus, the creamy texture makes for a rich lather that feels heavenly.

A Gift from the Heart
One of my favorite things about making these soaps is that they make perfect gifts for friends and family. Wrapped beautifully, they can transform into thoughtful presents that offer the luxurious experience of a Cleopatra bath right in the comfort of their homes. Imagine giving the gift of relaxation and self-care, allowing loved ones to indulge in a little slice of bliss.

Final Thoughts
As I reflect on this soap-making journey, I can’t help but feel a sense of joy and satisfaction. Creating something with my own hands that brings nourishment and care to my skin as well to those of my loved ones is truly rewarding. Also, it not only reduces waste from store-bought products but also aligns with our commitment to sustainable living, just like our gardening practices. Have you tried making your own natural skincare products? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have!

I hope you all to try this Oats and Honey Goat’s Milk Soap recipe. Trust me; once you do, you’ll find it hard to go back to store-bought soaps!

So, gather your ingredients and let your creativity flow. It will be worth it. Happy soap-making, everyone!
