Hey there, friends! 🌿✨ Today, I wanted to share a little bit about our journey towards sustainability here at MoLaHo. It’s been a fun and eye-opening experience, and we’re learning to embrace eco-friendly practices that not only help our family but also support our amazing community and the planet we all share.

Natural Materials and Homegrown Goodness

One of the things we love to do is keep things as natural as possible. We brew our own kombucha (it’s delicious, by the way!) and bake fresh bread right in our home kitchens that later we share in our MoLaHo’ get-together. There’s something so satisfying about making things from scratch! Plus, we try to eat local as much as we can, like getting our chickens from nearby farmers who raise them ethically. It feels good to know where our food comes from.

And speaking of being resourceful, we’ve started recycling plastic bottles to use as pots for our seedlings in the greenhouse. It’s amazing how a little creativity can turn waste into something useful!

Harnessing Nature’s Power

We’re lucky to live in a place with such beautiful natural resources. We’ve got solar panels set up to power our home, and we even use water straight from the mountains. It’s a great feeling to know we’re tapping into renewable energy and doing our part for the environment. Plus, we often carpool to the MoLaHo site, which not only cuts down on emissions but also gives us a chance to bond on the way!

A Community of Friends and Family

What really makes this journey special is the incredible community we’ve built here. We’re a mix of locals and foreigners, and it’s been so rewarding to learn from each other. We’ve become more than just friends; we’re like a functional family, each bringing our own unique strengths to the table.

Windy is our creative soul. She’s always smiling and has this youthful energy that’s contagious. Not only is she patient, fun and sweet with everyone (especially the kids), but she’s also a whiz at connecting with local farmers in their language. Her resourcefulness is truly inspiring!

Hiden brings a calming presence to our group. She’s fantastic at yoga and has some serious cooking skills. Hiden is super caring, whether she’s tending to the plants or looking after the little ones. Her nurturing spirit makes our days brighter.

Umut might be a man of few words, but his smile says it all! He’s incredibly handy, great with animals, and knows how to handle a farm. Always ready to lend a hand, he’s the go-to guy for any manual work or building projects.

Stu is our organized chef! He’s methodical in the kitchen and makes the most delicious homemade meals. His jokes and great conversational skills keep our spirits high, and he takes such good care of our greenhouse, always nurturing those seedlings.

Marc is our hardworking handyman. He loves getting his hands dirty and is super dedicated to the MoLaHo project. Whether it’s building something new or helping out wherever needed, he’s always there with enthusiasm.

I (Pepe) was told that my presence bring a nurturing vibe to the group. I’m full of ideas and love getting my hands dirty in the fields, making sure everyone feels cared for and valued.

Frances is our go-to coordinator. She’s logical, practical, and always ready for an adventure. Whether it’s finding great spots to explore or negotiating with locals, she’s quick on her feet and keeps us moving forward.

The Engineer is our proactive builder. He’s full of ideas and action, having constructed everything from the chicken pen, solar panels to the irrigation system. His recent project—a rooftop for our motorbikes—shows just how dedicated he is to improving our living space.

And then we have our little adventurers, Mia and Milena! Oh boy, where do I even start with these two?

Mia is our creative whirlwind—always ready to jump into the next big adventure! Whether she’s splattering paint everywhere like a mini Picasso or scaling trees like a squirrel on a sugar rush, her energy is absolutely contagious. Seriously, you can’t help but feel inspired to join in on the fun when she’s around!

Milena, our sweet little bundle of curiosity. She’s like a walking comedy show with her infectious giggles and silly antics that keep us all in stitches. You never know what she’s going to say next! Her curiosity is off the charts; she’s always asking questions that make you go, “Wow, I never thought of that!” And when it comes to swimming, both Mia and Milena are like little fish! They dive into the lake with zero fear, making a splash and racing each other like it’s the Olympics. Together, they’re a dynamic duo of exploration and fearlessness, turning every day into a new adventure!

Sustainability: Our Journey Towards a Greener Future

Together, we create this beautiful tapestry of skills and talents. Each of us is unique and important, and we truly accept and celebrate one another. The love and bonding we share make this journey all the more special.

Taking Baby Steps Towards a Greener Future

While we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, we know we’re still taking baby steps. There’s so much more to learn and do, and we’re excited about the journey ahead. Every little action counts, and we’re committed to making a difference, one step at a time.

So, we invite you to join us on this sustainability journey! Let’s embrace eco-friendly practices in our own lives and work together to create a brighter, greener future for everyone.

Here’s to growing, learning, and thriving together! 🌱💚✨
